A Note on Using Wix

Wix is a company based in Tel Aviv that provides online web development tools. Over the past year, it has come under criticism since it fired an employee for social media comments on the current war in Israel and Palestine. The company recently acknowledged that the employee's termination was "procedurally unfair" and agreed to pay her compensation.

In January 2024, the Palestine BDS National Committee (BNC), a coalition of Palestinian organizations leading the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement, listed Wix as an "organic boycott target," meaning efforts to boycott it are supported but not originated or led by the BNC.

Medford Jazz Festival did not learn about this matter until after we purchased this website. We will continue to educate ourselves about the boycott and consider switching to a different web development tool in the future.
